Meet your teacher
Adrián Sánchez, known artistically as Black Sánchez.
Painter and tattoo artist specialising in realism, and owner of the Chinatown Tattoo Madrid studio.
His passion goes back to oil painting classes, where he used to draw landscapes and still lifes, when he was only eight years old. He studied artistic Bachillerato, a higher cycle of illustration and a degree at the professional drawing school ESDIP (the international art school of Madrid).
All this training came in incredibly handy when he started tattooing at the age of 23. He already knew the anatomy of the body and began to understand the art of working with ink on skin.
You also learn from your peers and professionals in the field, which is why he started going to tattoo events all over the world: New York, Milan, London and Amsterdam have been the venues of enriching meetings.
Of course, without practice and perseverance he could not have reached where he is today.
Adrian is a perfectionist, he likes the picture, in this case the tattoo, to have more definition than the image itself.
After working in other tattoo studios, he opened his own centre. At Chinatown Tattoo he has written more than 250 stories on the skin.
